Take a couple of deep breaths. Inhale count to 3. Exhale count to 3.

5-Notice five things that you see.

4-Notice four things that you feel.

3- Notice three things that you hear.

2- Notice two things that you smell.

1-Notice one thing that you taste.

When we're stressed and we find our shoulders stuck to our ears, and our eyes wide open, the simple act of moving the neck back an forth can help reset our nervous system.


A fun and easy way to include mindfulness in the classroom is to get a hold of a deck of mindfulness cards. Or, if you don't have a deck yet, you can take a look at a mindfulness video to reset your nervous system. Try it out to see how you feel!
