Time to Build a Fort- A Great Way to Do Your Reading
After months of sheltering in place, the second graders needed their academic workload to be supplemented with some imaginative play. I invited each child to create a "cozy corner" in their house for their daily reading assignments. Some already had indoor tents and would take their Zoom calls in there, and others constructed blanket forts in various corners of the house. This was a wonderful way to create a special, quiet place all of their own.
Now that we've started back to school in the fall, we recommend desks and an organized workspace, but during the shelter in place this was tops!
